Our upper school environment club securing our literacy garden plants as well as the fruit trees received from Trees That Feed during yesterday’s torrential downpours. We did our best to secure a down fence, at least temporarily from goats and other animals, until community member Mr. Walters, pictured with students, comes back to volunteer his time to make it more secure. For now, my team did a great job. Literacy assignment, write about the experience and the importance of recycling as a means of cleaning up Jacks River and as a way of securing the success of our gardens and our farm. They are free to write poetry, dub, essay, song, rap or an artistic response.
